Bangalore, September 21st, 2013: Quest project “Cycle time reduction for vendor data manual creation” bagged the second prize for the Services category in the CII Seventh National Six Sigma competition conducted in Bangalore on the 20th and 21st of September. The project leveraged Lean Six Sigma principles to reduce the cycle time by 40% to create a vendor data manual. Based on experience, teamwork and effective use of Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) the team understood the vital causes for higher cycle time. Besides standardizing the process, the team leveraged Quest automation expertise in cutting down the cycle time to more than one third – achieving results beyond customer expectations.

About 22 best in class projects from reputed companies such as the TATAs, Infosys, Max Newyork, TAFE, et al., were presented in both the Manufacturing & Service categories. Quest had fielded another project as well to this contest. Both the Quest projects made it to the final leg of the national level competition.
