Quest’s selection as EADS E2S preferred supplier for engineering services, along with manufacturing capabilities, ability to offer offset fulfillment and Risk Sharing Partnerships, positions Quest uniquely amongst Indian aerospace players.

Bangalore, India, July 14, 2008 – Quest, a leading provider of outsourced engineering services and manufacturing announced today that it has become the first Indian private sector player qualified to offer end-to-end solutions to EADS companies. Quest supports its aerospace customers on global programs related to aero structures, engines, accessories, actuation systems, aircraft interiors and ground support equipment.

Recently, Quest was awarded the EADS E2S preferred supplier status for engineering services. This distinction comes after a stringent selection process by a distinguished EADS panel for over 2 years. During this process, approximately 2000 suppliers were evaluated on various parameters ranging from capability to infrastructure.

Quest has been recognized as a quality supplier to the aerospace industry through the AS 9100 certification received for both engineering services and manufacturing practices. Quest’s services include design and drafting/modeling, analysis/simulation, design automation, technical documentation, instrumentation and controls, electrical wiring/harness, avionics, embedded systems, manufacturing engineering, prototyping, in-house precision machining, sheet metal work and special processing.

Quest has earlier received Airbus approvals for engineering services and manufacturing which helps to support various current and upcoming Airbus programs. This is in addition to various customer approvals from Airbus Tier 1 suppliers, for manufacturing.

Quest has also initiated the setting up of an aerospace supply chain eco-system in its Special Economic Zone (SEZ) which would be spread over 250 acres in Belgaum, North Karnataka, India. This will be highly beneficial to EADS from a point of view of being able to source fully finished aerospace components and subassemblies from India.

Quest is also licensed to carry out export controlled work in the US. This is an additional benefit from Quest that would be useful to EADS in the event that it requires work to be performed in the US for offset purposes.

“Quest is uniquely positioned to support EADS, Airbus, Eurocopter and their Tier 1 & 2 suppliers in their globalization initiatives through the EADS E2S preferred supplier award combined with Quest’s end-to-end engineering services and manufacturing offerings, accredited best in class quality processes and a distinct roadmap for the future” said Aravind Melligeri, Chairman & Co-founder, Quest.
